We are looking for an applicant with a background in print especially on a newspaper product and electronic media. We are looking for a Graphic Designer who can take direction from written and spoken ideas and convert them into images, layouts and other designs. The ideal candidate must work well our editorial, marketing and IT teams and is able to both take direction and develop new products.
Responsibilities:
Manage the design of our newspapers (Ethiopian Reporter and The Reporter Ethiopia)
Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio Extensive experience with Adobe In Design, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Working on designs for different indoor, outdoor and digital printworks.
Responsible for designing thumbnails, info graphs, and other digital related graphical tasks.

Qualification: BA Degree related fields.
Work experience: 5 years of proven work experience as a graphic designer in a print and advertising company out of which 3 years working in Journalism work environment (Newspaper Publication Environment).
Must have great knowledge of Adobe In Design, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Submission of demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio is a must.
An extensive knowledge of pre-press production and excellent type setting skills highly desirable. Understanding and sensitivity to a multi-cultural environment.
