Established in 1993 and is located in Wukro in the north of Ethiopia, 45 kms from Mekelle, the capital city of the Tigray regional state. It began operations with paid up capital of 10 million USD and has created employment opportunities for more than 670 people. The company, one of the subsidiaries of the Endowment Fund For the Rehabilitation of Tigray (EFFORT), is a key development partner in Ethiopia.

Sheba Leather Industry is involved in processing and selling goat and sheep hides. It has two production units, the shoe factory and the tannery. The shoe factory has the capacity to produce 1000 pairs of shoes in one shift and the tannery is able to process more than 40,000 ft of finished leather.
